About Us

The Homestead Farm is owned and operated by Mary Godesky since 1978. It has seen many uses, from Jersey cows to Dorset sheep and now is home to both Shetland and Icelandic sheep and of course the dogs who guard them. Ranger and Morelli are the Great Pyrenees that look after the sheep 24/7. The farm also has a working border collie named Jake, who is an immense help during any roundup. The mill and yarn shop are located right on the farm.The mill has a resident cat , Cheerios. She can be found in any number of her favorite spots in the mill. As the fleece is being picked or carded , whoever is working the machines is treated to a view of the very sheep the fleece came from. Come visit us and drop your fleece off to be processed, as you leave, check out the sheep!

The Business

Shop for all your knitting and crocheting supplies in the shop. Come in and have your pick of various roving and batts for your needle felting projects. The store also has Shetland and Icelandic yarns of all weights. You will also find Patons merino of all colors and Barttlet yarns of bulky and worsted weight for a very good price. We do mail order as well.
