Welcome to Homestead Farm where Shetland and Icelandic Sheep are raised.  Hudson Valley Sheep and Wool Co. is the full service Fiber Processing Mill on premises. We have our hands in the full cycle of wool processing.  It starts with the wonderful care our Shetland and Icelandic sheep receive which includes their bi-annual shearing. Which takes place in the Spring and Fall. The beautiful fleece then makes its way to the mill. There it is skirted, washed, picked, carded into roving or batting or spun into various weights of yarn. Then it goes to the Yarn Shop,  a store right on the farm where the roving,batting and yarns are sold. While we love to process the fleeces  from the Homestead Farms' sheep, we would love to process your fiber as well. Give the mill a try and see why so many keep coming back season after season.

All Your fleece or exotic fiber will be processed with the utmost care into either roving, yarn or batts to be used  for felting or quilting . See price list on service page.
